From Berlin Tegel airport
- From Berlin Tegel airport, take the X9 bus to S+U Zoologischer Garten.
- From Zoologischer Garten, take the RE 1 train to Magdeburg Hbf, leaving every hour (for example 9:49, 10:49, 11:49, …). The RE1 is also departing from Berlin-Hauptbahnhof (main station).
In total, it will take you about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Berlin Tegel to Magdeburg main station.
From Berlin Schönefeld airport
- From Berlin Schönfeld airport, take the RE7 train to S+U Zoologischer Garten.
- From Zoologischer Garten, take the RE 1 train to Magdeburg Hbf, leaving every hour (for example 9:49, 10:49, 11:49, …). The RE1 is also departing from Berlin main station.

From Leipzig/Halle airport
From Leipzig/Halle, take the IC train to Magdeburg Hbf, leaving every 2 hours (for example 9:24, 11:24, 13:24, …).
In total, it will take you about 1,5 hours from Leipzig/Halle airport to Magdeburg main station.

Arriving In Magdeburg
In Magdeburg you will be able to use the MVB-Kongressticket (event ticket – included in conference price) from Monday to Wednesday on the local public transportation. Deutsche Bahn (DB) Services are not included in the ticket. This Kongressticket will be valid throughout the conference from September 23 to 25, 2019.
At the moment there is a major construction site in Magdeburg that has impact on public transport. To get to Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences or Dorint Hotel from the city centre please takeline 9 to Turmschanzenstraße / Friedensbrücke and change there to line 6 for Fachhochschule (direction Herrenkrug).

If you are staying at the Dorint Hotel, it is located two stops further from the University of Applied Sciences at Herrenkrug station. It is also possible to take the local train from the main station to the Herrenkrug Banhhof.
